I got the Bumble and Bumble Deeep hair repair masque at Sephora for about $30 or so, pricy, I know, but I was dying to test it out because I had researched it before hand and had read good reviews so I decided why not?
First off, I'll start by saying that I'm not a big fan of the packaging. I love that the cap is a twist and it just opens like that and it's not a cap that separates from the bottle (unless you break it off, of course) but after dispensing however much of the masque you need, when you close the lid, excess masque squeezes out letting you get more of the masque than you intended for.
As much as that is a hassle for me, and anyone else who finds this irritating, the masque smells AMAZING. It's like a fruity but sweet smell. (I'm smelling it as I type this) I don't know how to describe it; it definitely doesn't smell the least bit chemical.
Just so you readers know, this masque is...
"For the chemically dependent or seriously parched (colour junkies, styling abusers or sun worshippers): a protein masque to revive lifeless locks."
If that wasn't good enough to tell you what this masque is used for...well it's for your damaged and dry hair that needs life in it. This hair masque recommends that you dab this into your hair and comb it through after using Bumble and Bumble's Gentle Shampoo but I just use any shampoo before using this. It recommends that you leave it in for twenty minutes and rinse thoroughly, but ain't nobody got time for that! I left it in for 10 minutes max and my hair was silky smooth! Obviously, it wasn't going to hydrate my dry hair immediately but it definitely felt different.
In conclusion, I wouldn't say this is something that you should totally buy every single time you run out but it is definitely a good hair masque. I plan on trying the Macadamia Oil Hair Masque next so I will definitely write a review on that after I finish using my current hair masque!
